Sassafras is a great spot for brunch though on the weekends it may be hard to get in if you have a large party. The banana bread and lavender lemonade and berry limeade are fantastic. Not pictured was the delicious chicken fried steak and breakfast po boy which were fantastic! We have come before and had the bison hash which was also delicious! Highly recommend! Great during weekdays on an off day as it’s much easier to get seated!

Been three times and was great every time. In a beautiful/charming old house, they’ve done a great job of capturing a New Orleans feel. Wonderful food, great drinks ... even their hot sauce is great. Highly recommend for brunch.

This place completely blew our minds. The southern flavors in every dish we tried was like I was in the Deep South in someone’s kitchen. First, we tried the deviled eggs which were ridiculous in the best way; so creamy and flavorful. Then we had the beignets which was good but the triple jam made them excellent. For entrees we had the crab cakes Benedict and the chicken fried steak; it’s impossible to describe just how tasty everything was. I was so full and happy leaving this place. It was absolutely worth the way. Oh and the pineapple orange juice is literally nectar from heaven. It was so damn good, I didn’t have any by the time my food arrived lol

If you want farm to table excellent food, this is the place to go. We came from Illinois just for Sassafras on our anniversary. The staff is so helpful and so friendly. The building is 2 old houses converted into the restaurant.

Unbelievably good brunch in adorable spot with a wide array of amazing Bloody Marys. Breakfast po’boy - bread was light and delicious, large serving, gravy dipping sauce was delicious. Fried pickles - light seasoning was unique and good, went great with the sauce, big fans. Chicken pimento biscuit - soo good. It was a heavy meal as expected, but really good. The combo of poached egg, pimento, and their fried chicken on a biscuit with gravy was delicious. Bloody Mary’s - I think there was 10 on menu? Definitely recommend doing a flight of 4 which isn’t shown on the menu but was suggested by the bartender. Sassafras- their mix is delicious. Super flavorful with a good amount of kick to it. Highly recommend for those who normally order a spicy bloody with normal kick. Garden - perfect entry level Bloody Mary if you’re not sure you like them or don’t like them spicy. Tale of the pig - has vodka and mezcal which gives it a smokiness and makes this more interesting than your standard bloody. I don’t love mezcal but found this interesting, maybe wouldn’t do a full one though, so flight was perfect. Queen Mary - most interesting bloody I’ve ever tried. It’s green juice with alcohol (in a good way). This was a nice refreshing sip in between the others. They sell the juice on menu as well without alcohol. Marie laveau (spicy) - I like spice to a moderate degree, think happy with sriracha on most meals. I was worried it’d be too spicy because of the ghost pepper, but it was do able and very good. A few sips had more punch than others, but good overall and not too spicy, especially when balanced with the queen mary. Highly highly recommend coming here for brunch, you won’t be disappointed. So many things on menu I’d love to come back and try while also wanting to reorder the items above.

We came all the way from Texas and it was worth the trip. Super cute atmosphere and chill vibe... and let’s not forget the wonderful food. We sat in a small private patio. Was perfect for our intimate brunch.
